Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?
I counsel virtually using secure, HIPAA-compliant software on my Macintosh laptop, so I’ll be in my home in Georgia. We can work together online if you live in Georgia or Florida.
How do I get an appointment?
Complete the Contact form, text, email, or call me. I will get back to schedule within 24 hours.
How long are your appointments?
Appointments usually last 45 minutes to an hour.
How much do you charge?
Give me a call, and we will talk about it.
How does counseling feel?

The first counseling session might feel a little rocky or scary.

It takes time and effort to learn how to overcome obstacles.

However, it took some time to begin feeling sad, hopeless, or rejected.

There might be rough waves to get through, but we can do it together.

Afterward, a sigh of relief is possible!

What is your favorite food?
Popcorn with real butter!
Do you enjoy boating?

Yes… except when I put the truck in reverse too close to the water. Did you know a truck is not waterproof??

When I am not in a session, you can find me using my “coping skills,” relaxing on my own raft by the dock in my happy place!

Do you love exercising?
No (but I know I should).
Do you use a wheelchair?
No. I have a cane and a walking stick for the beach.
What is your favorite Bible verse?

I have lots of favorites. Here’s one:

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6 )

Why are you so hopeful in life?

I’ve experienced depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and several other health issues. My dad passed away from Parkinson’s, and my mom is in the final stages of dementia.

God has worked in and with me to overcome these obstacles. He is my anchor for my soul. Without a doubt, I know I’m safe and secure.
